ABOUT THE BUST OF STEAMBOAT
The Bust of Steamboat is an event created 17 years ago to raise funds for local women fighting breast cancer. It’s a non-profit volunteer organization dba: Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project (YVBCAP) that was established in 2000 to raise awareness about early detection and assist women of Routt & Moffat Counties with monetary support for mammograms, wellness exams or other unreimbursed costs of treatment.
In 2018, the organization set out to Paint the Town PINK! A community-wide event for the month of October where individuals and businesses host their own fundraiser and awareness campaigns to benefit the local fund.
