My First Bust Event

“I had just finished 9 months of treatment for breast cancer when I attended my first Bust event.

My annual mammogram that January was abnormal. What followed was surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. I was so impressed how this organization was using the money raised to help local women dealing with breast cancer. For years after, I made artistic “bras” for the auction at the gala. About a year ago I noticed swelling in my arm, my 19-year-old cancer had returned. This January, I went to Dr. Borgerding. Treatment options have advanced over the years and have dramatically reduced the tumor activity. The Bust has been here for my support this time. I feel good, I get out and hike, I walk my puppy, life is good.”
